REVIEW – Swedish melodic hard rockers SEVENTH CRYSTAL are set to unleash their third studio album ‘Entity’ on November 8, 2024 via Frontiers Music Srl. With a deeper conceptual framework, a tighter lineup, and their most dynamic material to date, ‘Entity’ finds the Gothenburg-based band pushing the boundaries of their sound—melding melodic rock, progressive structures, and modern heavy elements into a polished, emotionally resonant album.

Opening track “Oathbreaker” charges forward with a fierce energy, blending driving riffs, fist-pumping beats, and chant-worthy hooks that demand crowd participation. “Thirteen to One” is a melodic earworm that wraps around your senses, balancing catchy chorus work with technical guitar layers. “404” dials into a more introspective space, with soaring vocals and haunting textures that let you drift in emotional weight.

“Path of the Absurd” showcases the band’s remarkable musicianship—shifting rhythms, ethereal leads, and climactic vocal phrasing make it one of the album’s most compelling cuts. The same could be said for “Architects of Light”, which lifts listeners with a spirit of collective triumph, delivering massive choruses and a sense of defiant unity. “Interlude” provides a moment of reflective calm before the album erupts again.

“Blinded by the Light” is pure adrenaline—a mix of pulsating synths, crunchy riffs, and a rhythm section that absolutely thunders. “Siren Song”, the current single, dives into metaphorical waters, confronting themes of deception and self-discovery through layers of haunting melody and poetic lyricism. The heaviness surges once again with “Versus”, a pit-ready anthem made for chaos and catharsis.

Closing out the journey, “Mayflower” delivers a standout blend of powerful drums, emotionally charged keys, and explosive choruses. “Push Comes to Shove” and “A Place Called Home” add further depth—balancing groove with introspection—before the album ends on a stirring high with “Song Of The Brave”, a ballad drenched in raw vocal emotion and sweeping melodic grandeur.

‘Entity’ is a daring, dynamic release that captures SEVENTH CRYSTAL at their most evolved. From concept to composition, the band has matured into something far greater than the sum of its parts—one of the most exciting and forward-thinking voices in modern melodic rock.
