REVIEW – Phoenix, Arizona’s BURIED is carving their own brutal path in the metal underground with Infect & Replicate, their self-released debut set for March 12th, 2025. Fusing the dark atmosphere of doom, the relentless energy of thrash, and the intricate technicality of progressive metal, this album is an unrelenting sonic force.

From the opening moments of “Haunted”, the band establishes a crushing presence—thick, downtuned riffs coil around a suffocating atmosphere while Rosputni’s tortured vocals weave a tale of despair and defiance. “Loving You” leans into doom-laden melodies, evoking echoes of Acid Bath’s eerie storytelling mixed with the sheer ferocity of Cannibal Corpse. “Tallies” injects thrash-fueled aggression into the mix, its shifting time signatures and breakneck drumming keeping listeners on edge. Closing track “No Saviors” is a blistering, apocalyptic anthem, delivering bone-crushing breakdowns and soaring leadwork that cement BURIED as a force to be reckoned with.

Born from years of experience and forged in frustration, passion, and a deep love for extreme metal, Infect & Replicate is more than just a debut—it’s a statement of intent. With influences ranging from Black Sabbath to Pantera to Death, BURIED has created a sound that is as punishing as it is intricate, striking a balance between brutality and technical precision.

For fans of death metal’s intensity, doom’s suffocating weight, and thrash’s raw energy, Infect & Replicate is essential listening. BURIED is here, and they’re ready to leave their mark.
