Hailing from Zagreb, Moon Unit is a glorious, genre-warping sextet operating amidst the chaos and confusion of prog rock, prevailing metal and an improbable assortment of mammals, delivery vans and odd shaped vegetables.
Up until now the world in which they’d inhabited had been theirs and theirs alone. But for the very first time they are inviting listeners into their dominion to experience Differences in Language and Lifestyle; their debut album released this July on PRT Records.
“It feels great to finally be able to share with the world the results of so many hours spent underground,” explains drummer, Renato Palatinuš. “After all that’s gone on recently, we’re really keen to just get it out there and just see what happens. You can expect to hear many familiar and unfamiliar influences mixed up into something quite unique.”
Incorporating colossal drums, plug-in solos, arcade blips and riffs that will render you powerless, Moon Unit are a pure adrenaline rush of hard rock/scattershot experimentation, as embodied on their first single from Differences in Language and Lifestyle, ‘Velocirapture’. Drawing on both the sublime lyrical idiocies and impressive technical abilities of artists like Devin Townsend, Faith No More and Arcturus, these curious Croatians cut a devastating figure of prog rock to come.
Moon Unit’s Differences in Language and Lifestyle will be released 9th July 2021 on PRT Records and can be pre-ordered HERE.
New single ‘Velocirapture’ is out now and can be streamed HERE.
