Featuring Ex-MINISTRY Keyboardist Darrell JamesÂ
New Album âPillsâ Out Now via WuLi Records
Chicago, IL alt-electronic hard rock group POUND OF FLESH (featuring former Ministry keyboardist Darrell James) recently released their latest album Pills via WuLi Records and INgrooves Music Group. Today, REVOLVER Magazine is exclusively hosting a brand music video for the new track âOne-Time Offerâ. Watch the video here: http://www.revolvermag.com/?p=68691
The video was directed and edited by Steven McIntosh with cinematographers Beth Hollander and Elizabeth Fraiberg from e3Photography.
POUND OF FLESH frontman and keyboardist Darrell James states, âThe concept for the song and video is that I’m the devil giving you a one-time offer and leading you into temptation with sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Itâs about lust, itâs about indulgence, itâs about being drawn to something that youâre afraid to give in to⦠lured or guided by the little devil on your shoulder to take a chance, have fun, give in, and enjoy yourself because you donât know what is next.â
James adds, âWe felt it was the perfect song to introduce POF to the world since the song incorporates most of the aspects of what POF is all aboutâgood old-fashioned sex, drugs, and rock and roll!â
Pills can be ordered here via iTunes. Mixing an intense and raw electronic sound with heavy, clean production, Pills is both a great follow-up to 2012âs singular counterpart Pill, as well as a perfect introduction to POFâs sound for new fans.
Recorded at Paragon and Drakeraven studios, the album was produced by POF vocalist and lead programmer Darrell James (formerly of Ministry and Revolting Cocks) and keyboardist Steven McIntosh, and was mastered by Doug McBride at Gravity Studios in Chicago.

POUND OF FLESH was formed in the late 90âs, and released their first full-length record in 2000, entitled Red & Black. The album received critical acclaim and support from over 250 radio stations nationwide.
While touring regionally in support of Red & Black, frontman Darrell James was introduced to the legendary Al Jourgenson of Ministry. James was invited by Jourgenson to play keyboards during Ministryâs 2003 âFornicatour.â Darrell agreed, and was subsequently asked to stay on for their 2004 âEvil Doerâ tour. Additionally, Darrellâs keyboard and programming work can be heard on Ministryâs Rantology and Rio Grande Blood as well as the Revolting Cocksâ Cocked and Loaded.
In 2008, Darrell started collaborating with keyboardist Steven McIntosh on new material. After perfecting their sound and recruiting the rest of the current incarnation of the band, POF released their aforementioned 2012 album Pill. This marked the launch of what now exists as POUND OF FLESH.
