Hungarian progressive death metal powerhouse NEEDLESS is thrilled to announce the signing with Inertial Music for the release of the highly anticipated third album, set to drop in the early months of 2025. This monumental collaboration marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the band.

Following the success of their critically acclaimed 2022 album, “The Cosmic Cauldron,” which featured the mesmerizing vocals of Martina Horváth from Thy Catafalque, the band continues to push its creative boundaries. Thy Catafalque, known for its genre-defying mix of avant-garde metal and Hungarian folk influences, has earned international recognition and acclaim, making this collaboration a highlight of the band’s discography.

To ignite this new journey, NEEDLESS will release a brand-new single, “Derelict,” on February 7th, 2025. This explosive track is a quintessential representation of the band's sound, featuring relentless energy, intricate composition, and a chorus that will resonate long after the song ends. Frontman Ádám Forczek shared his enthusiasm for the single:

“Derelict is a quintessential Needless song, told in a straightforward way, topped with a really strong chorus and thunderous drumming. It’s a perfect introduction to the sonic world of our upcoming album.”

The single’s cover art offers a tantalizing glimpse of the full album artwork, which has been masterfully hand-painted by visionary English artist Ryan T. Hancock. Known for his surreal and otherworldly style, Hancock’s artwork perfectly encapsulates the grandiose and imaginative themes of Needless’ upcoming release.

Fans can expect “Derelict” to be just the first step into the monolithic musical journey that Needless has crafted for 2025.
