DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT announce a sixteen-date European headline tour this autumn, running from October 16th to October 31st, 2026. The run covers seven countries across Central and Eastern Europe, the Alpine region, Italy, and the Benelux, with a strong concentration of German dates closing out the tour.

The band’s live show has long been regarded as the most direct encounter with what their music is built to do. Where the records reward patient listening, the stage compresses that same emotional arc into something more immediate—the interplay of searing aggression and fragile, melancholic passages rendered in full force, with Tobias Schuler’s drumming and Nikita Kamprad’s visceral vocal delivery anchoring the room from the first note to the last. Shows from past tours have been characterised by an intensity that pulls inward rather than outward.

The tour follows the release of Innern, the band’s sixth studio album, which came out via Season of Mist in September 2025 to widespread critical attention. A meditation on suffering, transformation, and personal reckoning, Innern is the most introspective and compositionally expansive work of the band’s career and has provided the foundation for their live sets since the autumn 2025 European headline run.
