Snoop Dogg came to the area on his I Wanna Thank Me Tour to a sold-out house. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little excited for this show. I have been a fan of his music, movies, and I love the new Dunkin’s commercials he is in.
Snoop had four opening acts to get a great vibe going in the crowd. Joining Snoop were Tray Chaney, Trae The Truth, RJ and one of the original OGs of hip hop, from the west coast, Warren G. He performed great classics from, “I Want it All,” to “Summertime in the LBC,” and many more, including a cover of Rick James’ “Mary Jane.” He also sang a great medley in tribute to the late great Nate Dogg.
After an awesome opening by all, it was time for the man, Snoop D ooooh Double G. It was amazing to see all generations of people in the sold-out Fillmore come together for the love of Snoop’s music, new and old school. Snoop opened up with “Nutin’ But a ‘G’ Thing.” Snoop had it all for his set, pole dancers, a Dogg Mascot, and a gun that shot out Snoop Bucks. Snoop played classics like “Drop it Like it’s Hot,” and his smash hit “Gin and Juice,” along with songs from his new album, “ I Wanna Thank Me.”
