Rocknation’s Chief Editor Francesca Cecconi Stated: “A band/collective well known in the Italian heavy underground and beyond, they are back in 2022 with a wonderful and mighty new work, ’11’. One of the best Italian records of 2021. Our review of the album attacks thus ‘Is it possible to be modern by drawing from the past? If we are talking about Silence is Spoken, the answer is yes, it is possible. The band, born in London but based in Florence, swirls around in a gritty, pounding sound taking its cue from the darker, metal side of the Seattle scene, without disdaining progressive atmospheres and crossover and psychedelic inflections, all with an anxious, restless vocal. We therefore went to meet them in person at their hideout, a beautiful rehearsal room on the outskirts of Florence. The interview was preceded by a bottle of good red wine and followed by a mini live show that left me with ruffled hair for several days.”
