REVIEW – The album begins with the first track, “Good Things,” with soaring guitars and rolling drums playing in tandem. The follow up song “Wild & Free” starts with a slower paced beginning before the lyrics belt out with a steady bass treading along. Hailing back to rock sounds of the 90s brings a fun pace that grabs the audience from the beginning and never lets go. “I Will Rise” is a gem that finds the protagonist rising again from the dark and challenges they are up against. “Karma” features a harder fast paced sound about karma striking back against someone who made selfish choices. “Want To” draws the listener right in about not holding back and going after what you want.
Sonic Fuel sets themselves apart from other rock bands by finding their own distinct sound that resonates with any fan of music. Their debut album will keep the listener coming back for more each time. Any fan of Collective Soul, Foo Fighters, and Switchfoot will have a great appreciation for the alternative rock sound Sonic Fuel brings home.
