REVIEW – Ghost Twin are an electro pop duo from Winnipeg. Husband and wife duo Karen and Jaimz Asmundson are going to win you over with this record. Think of Siouxsie and the Banshees had the soundtrack for 80’s cop show. This record has such an atmosphere to it. You get such a darkness thru the grooves that are dance and industrial. You clearly have a duo that know the strengths of the other and they play to it very well with this record. The vocals have such a sultry intoxicating darkness to them. This is clearly a soundtrack to the future thru the sound of the past. The songs on this album would be perfect in a club you’ve never been to and you look across the room and see that person that defines the moment. This is clearly a cd to seduce someone with. Bands and cds like this are so needing of a magazine like CMJ to showcase them. If college radio ever got this in rotation, I could see this band becoming something very big. I got the appetizer with their EP, which left me wanting more. This album really has me wanting everyone else to try this. This is a bold and daring direction for a band that I feel is making music as exciting as it is mysterious. This could be called “Soundtrack to a Noir”. This band should be huge!
