REVIEW – In a time when the world stood still, BLACK & DAMNED roared to life. What began in 2020 as a creative rebellion against silence—fueled by guitarist Michael Vetter and vocalist Roland “Bobbes” Seidel—has evolved into a powerhouse metal act that thrives on emotion, darkness, and sheer melodic force. Their third full-length release Resurrection, out now via RPM-ROAR, solidifies their legacy as one of Germany’s most exciting heavy metal exports.

Opening with the explosive “Silence Breaker”, the band wastes no time reminding us why they matter. It’s an anthem of revival that sets the tone for the emotional and sonic journey ahead. “Ruthless Wrath” follows with a storm of thundering drums, crunchy riffs, and galloping intensity. There’s no filler—just pure, dynamic songwriting.

Tracks like “Red Heavens” and “Shadows” pull listeners deep into moody, introspective territory, while songs like “Bound By The Moon” and “Searing Flames” inject enough adrenaline to keep heads banging through every verse. Each track showcases not only the band’s tight musicianship but also their ability to walk the line between soaring melody and heavy aggression with ease.

The production, helmed by Stefan Leibing (ex-Primal Fear), gives the album a pristine but powerful punch—highlighting every vocal layer, blistering guitar lead, and pounding rhythm section. Guest contributions from Daniel Galmarini, Bastian Rose, and Sven Vöhringer add extra emotional depth and polish across the board.

By the time the final track, “Navigate Me To The Sun”, wraps, one thing becomes crystal clear: Resurrection isn’t just a title—it’s a mission. BLACK & DAMNED have reignited their flame, emerging from the shadows with a sound that’s fierce, melodic, and unforgettable. This is a band reborn, and Resurrection is a must-listen for any fan of modern power metal.
