REVIEW – Amid lockdowns and isolation, the Cleveland-based hard rock unit led by Waylon Reavis turned quarantine into creative fuel with their single “Last Chance.” The track captures a rare emotional pulse—hope wrapped in grit—and showcases the band’s commitment to staying connected in a time of enforced separation.
Filmed entirely DIY during the early waves of the pandemic, the band pieced together a music video from handheld footage and cellphone clips while respecting social distancing orders. The result? A raw, honest document of five musicians pushing through the chaos together—separately.
The video opens on Reavis, belting into the camera with trademark intensity, before shifting across screens showing each member in their element: riffing, drumming, passing time at home, or simply staring into the quiet. Whether it’s cards, video games, or that all-too-familiar phone glow, “Last Chance” becomes a mirror of our shared solitude.
Sonically, the track builds from subtle beginnings into a bold, driving hook. It’s classic AKC—tight grooves, emotional push-pull, and vocals that carry just enough bite to pierce the static.
