With MYSTERYLAND USA just days away– June 10-13, 2016 at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (home of the legendary 1969 Woodstock festival) in Bethel, New York– event organizers have made available a wide variety of information including set times festival site map, transportation and parking directions, and much more. The music lineup features more than 90 musical artists including: headliners Odesza (Friday, June 10), Skrillex (Saturday, June 11) and Bassnectar (Sunday, June 12). In addition, those headed to spend the weekend in Bethel can also experience the first-ever MYSTERYLAND comedy tent, curated by Sirius XM’s Brett Siddell, will open Friday night with a headlining performance from “Saturday Night Live”/Good Neighbor writer and performer Kyle Mooney and friends taking over the Spiegel tent. Speaker series talks–curated by NPR’s Anya Harmenetz–will have a “how to” theme, helping participants solve the core mysteries of their lives. Highlights include: “How To Be Your Own Healer” with Kezia Vida, “How To Create Transformative Art” with Kate Raudenbush (designer of the main stage at the festival) and “How To Put Down Your Damn Phone and Interact With the World” with Harmenetz. MYSTERYLAND is also where food is considered art and offers a wide range of cuisine from local and NYC area vendors. For a full list of food options ranging, click here. Newly announced for the festival is the arrival of Architects of Air’s luminarium, Aboria. Created by U.K. designer Alan Parkinson, the Aboria inflatable structure is dedicated to the theme of ‘trees,’ which makes for a perfect fit for MYSTERYLAND‘s Catskill mountain surroundings. Alan Parkinson’s intention is to stimulate visitors to a sense of wonder to the beauty of light and color, and create an environment where the visitors experience is influenced by their own relation to space.
Festival-goers will also explore a variety of onsite experiences including The Healing Garden‘s restorative powers curated by Sarah Schroder, the Incendia 50′ fire dome illuminating the night sky, plus a variety of installations, interactive settings and experiences from the House Of Yes, Modern Gypsies, Nova Zef And Pendulum People, Funkrust Brass Band and Guerilla Science, among others can also be found at MYSTERYLAND. Saturday late night revelers can unwind with MYSTERYLAND‘s Late Night Movie Night which will include the East Coast debut of “Going Furthur” ( www.goingfurthur.com), the documentary depicting fifty years after the iconic first Trip, Ken Kesey’s son Zane taking the Furthur Bus–and his father’s legacy–back on the road armed with a new band of Merry Pranksters. About Mysteryland
Mysteryland dates back to 1993 and is now the world’s longest-running dance festival. With a clear focus on culture, art, talent, creativity and sustainability, the festival takes visitors to inspiring and surprising worlds where literally anything is possible. The first international edition of Mysteryland was held in Chile in 2011. In May of 2014, Mysteryland made its USA debut at the site of the legendary 1969 Woodstock Festival and now returns for its third edition. Mysteryland is an ID&T concept.
