LOS ANGELES, CA (October 22, 2021) — Los Angeles-based alternative-rock band Love Ghost shatters genre constraints by fusing trap, hip-hop, grunge and emo textures into their unique style of music. Penned about the journey of healing, “King Of Loneliness,” is out today alongside a medieval-themed video.
Jason McMahon of Substream Magazine raved that “King Of Loneliness” is “a single that definitely shows the development of Love Ghost over the past year. They have proven that they will continue to push the boundaries by mixing genres whether it be a harder, more intense rock song, or something that’s slowed down a bit with lyrics that come straight from the heart.”
One not too shy from discussing mental health, frontman Finnegan Bell says, “‘King Of Loneliness’ is about leading people out of depression and loneliness. Putting on armor to process the trauma and trust issues that have developed in your life. Musically it derives from many influences including Radiohead and Kid Cudi.”
Love Ghost has been on a massive trajectory with recent single releases like “Wolfsbane,” “Peace = Madness,” and “FREAK” — all spotlighted by Rolling Stone, American Songwriter and FLAUNT, respectively.
“The new music that’s coming from Love Ghost is just our storytelling of the things happening in our lives at the moment,” says Bell. “These songs, to me, are really all threaded together by time. We are in an insane period of history, and therefore we are writing some insane music.”
Known for their hyper-expressive songs, Love Ghost is composed of Bell (lead vocals, guitar), Ryan Stevens (bass, backing vocals), Daniel Alcala (guitar, engineer backing vocals) and Cory Batchler (keys, backing vocals).
