Released in October of 2014 and produced by David Finck, it’s an 18-track musical sleigh ride of holiday standards mixed with some covers and originals, shared among the kindred spirits of two music and television entertainment’s most celebrated duos.

Take a step back in time this Holiday season with Johnny PayCheck and Bobby Helm’s collaborative Christmas album, A Little Darlin’ Christmas, released in 2004 by Koch Records Nashville. While PayCheck contributed several songs to the album, his absentee parent blues ballad “Mommy For Awhile On Christmas Day” seems to hit the hardest.

Country singer-songwriter Whey Jennings’ holiday inspired song is a remake of Leonard Cohen’s classic Folk Gospel Rocker, “Hallelujah.” Jennings’ rich baritone vocals and Southern allure helps solidify his own stamp on Cohen’s hit song, which has also been covered by the likes of Jeff Buckley, Willie Nelson and Brandi Carlile.
