“Hall Of Statues,” from New York City-based progressive rock quartet EDENSONG, is now streaming everywhere, including through a captivating lyric video. The song is the latest single advancing the band’s upcoming Our Road To Dust.

“‘Hall Of Statues’ is a song about the unsung, unglamorous, more tedious side of making art and the vain hope of crafting something both relevant and permanent. I imagine my fellow musicians will know this subject well. I started writing this song (and this album) at a pretty low point personally… We had poured almost a decade of our lives into making our last album Years In The Garden Of Years, and while we love how that record came out, I think that took its toll on all of us, our relationships, our finances, and our emotional well-being. The thought of starting on something new and following it up felt insurmountable, and a few of the songs on Our Road To Dust started from my feeling of general exhaustion and anxiety about the future.

“Though this album also took us a long time to make, it’s more because there were unexpected challenges and life changes that came up in the meantime. The music side itself actually flowed pretty effortlessly this time around, and the process felt somewhat sustainable for once. We’re all feeling excited now rather than drained, but ‘Hall Of Statues’ is representative of that initial struggle. A bit of a moody tune, but one of our favorites.”

“Hall Of Statues” features EDENSONG‘s former keyboardist Stefan Paolini on piano, the song arriving through a lush lyric video created by Shelby Logan Warne.

Hailed as a “a great example of contemporary Progressive Rock” by Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson, EDENSONG has delighted audiences throughout the US and abroad with their genre-bending blend: a hard driving rhythm section, flute playing that ranges from serenely melodic to avant-garde, lush vocal harmonies, and more than a touch of orchestral ambition. They have supported diverse acts including Kings X, Ozric Tentacles, Pain Of Salvation, Neal Morse Band, and Anglagard, and have headlined their own tours throughout the US, UK, and Canada.

EDENSONG now returns with their long-awaited new album Our Road To Dust in 2025, their first since releasing the critically adored Years In The Garden Of Years in 2016. Their first album to be crafted as a quartet, the record embodies the ambitious, detailed, and eclectic sound they have cultivated over the years, but is far heavier, more focused, and full of infectious melodic hooks.

With additional recording, sound design and production elements handled from allies across New York, London, and more, Our Road To Dust was produced and recorded by James Byron Schoen at Firecat Audio in New York City, and mixed by Johan Martin/mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden (Katatonia, Opeth, Amorphis). The record is completed with photography by Kelly Robertson and artwork by Nate Dorr and Ben Wigler.
