Experimental death/grind abomination DEFIGUREMENT – formed by current/former members of Fear Factory, Raven, Bad Acid Trip, Murder Construct, Lack Of Interest, Rottenness, and countless more – drops a crushing new single “Godtopsy,” hosted through a video premiere at Decibel Magazine.

DEFIGUREMENT encompasses a cast of life-long henchmen from across the metal/extreme music underground; an experimental grindcore project featuring Mike Heller (Malignancy, Raven, ex-Fear Factory), Kevin Fetus (Lack of Interest, ex-Murder Construct), DMT (Mormon Mincers, ex-Bad Acid Trip), Matti Güey (Rottenness, Formless Master).

With their guest collaborator-strewn debut album in production, the band previously teased “Wounded Landscape,” featuring guest guitar by Takafumi Matsubara (Gridlink, Mortalized). Now, DEFIGUREMENT drops the new single “Godtopsy,” which takes the listener on a psychedelic journey from the universe’s inception, through the useless mortal coil, and towards our inevitable demise. Recorded by the band, mixed by Rob Caldwell (Cannibal Corpse, Municipal Waste, Devourment), mastered by Lasse Lammert (Alestorm, Kublai Khan, The Atlas Moth), with artwork by Kevin Fetus, “Godtopsy” features Brian Hopp, guitarist for Cephalic Carnage, who also appears in the song’s corresponding video, created by Matti Güey.

The band declares, “The mad scientists in DEFIGUREMENT are pleased to bring our newest concoction to the public — a furious offering of blast beats, acidic riffs, and a special offering of brain-melting guitar shredding from the indomitable Brian Hopp of Cephalic Carnage infamy. Hallucinations may ensue upon watching.”
