Back in July, electronic music producer deadmau5 announced he would return to North America for a string of tour dates in Canada, known as the ‘lots of shows in a row: pt 2′ tour, starting on Friday,October 6 in Windsor and passing through major markets such as Toronto, Montreal, Alma, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg. He’ll also return to the U.S. with a stop at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado on Friday, October 20, which has since sold out, prompting the addition of another date on Thursday, October 19.
Today (9/7), deadmau5 has announced the support acts joining him for the upcoming tour dates. The outing–showcasing deadmau5‘s new Cube 2.1 production–will feature a different mau5trap or favored artist on each date, including Netsky, Loud Luxury, Com Truise, ATTLAS, No Mana, BlackGummy, Kill the Noise, Electrocado and Chris Lake.
Belgian drum and bass producer and musician Netsky–known for his huge remixes of ubiquitous club anthems-kicks off the tour in Windsor. For deadmau5‘s monster hometown Toronto show, university friends Andrew Fedyk and Joe Depace–better known as Loud Luxury–will serve as support. An admitted synth obsessive, Com Truise–the maker of an experimental and bottom heavy style he calls “mid-fi synth-wave, slow-motion funk”–will join in Montreal, while mau5trap artist ATTLAS comes aboard in Alma, fresh off the success of his latest summer-influenced single “What You Do To Me” (listen here).
The two nights at Red Rocks features an all-star group including mau5trap artists No Mana, known for his dark remixes and compelling approach to modern house music, and BlackGummy, often recognized for his unique prowess for production and sound design as illustrated by his latest release, the Monolith EP (listen here), along with Electrocado, a duo that combines generous amounts of electro, glitch and progressive ingredients in their sets.
As the tour heads west, friends Kill the Noise and Chris Lake come on board for the shows in Vancouver and Winnipeg, respectively. The complete tour routing with support outlined follows here:
