GRAMMY award winning, country music icon, Clint Black will welcome his wife Lisa Hartman Black to the stage for Christmas-inspired performances this December. With more dates to be added, “A Clint Black Christmas” will hit Fort Worth, TX, Dallas, TX, and Charles Town, WV. The holiday-themed show will include a sampling of Clint Black fan favorites as well as music from both of his Christmas albums: Christmas with You and Looking for Christmas.
“I always look forward to the chance to play songs from my Christmas collection at these holiday shows,” shares Black. “This year, I am overjoyed to have Lisa joining me on stage on some dates. Along with performing our past duets, I refashioned a song from my Christmas collection into a duet for my musical, Looking for Christmas. We’re excited to share that one with the audiences.”
News of the on-stage Christmas collaboration comes several weeks after Black announced the debut of his first musical, Looking for Christmas. Based on the music from the album of the same name, the musical follows the story of Staff Sergeant Mike Randolf and his family as they settle back into life after he returns from Afghanistan. His youngest daughter’s search for the true meaning of Christmas helps him make peace with his past on the battlefield. Looking for Christmas: The Musical will open at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, CA on November 20th and run through December 16th.

It is one of the most storied careers in modern music. Clint Black surged to superstardom as part of the fabled Class of ’89, reaching #1 with five consecutive singles from his triple-platinum debut, Killin’ Time. He followed that with the triple-platinum Put Yourself in My Shoes, and then a string of platinum and gold albums throughout the ’90s. Perhaps most impressively, Black wrote or co-wrote every one of his more than three dozen chart hits, including “A Better Man,” “Where Are You Now,” “When My Ship Comes In,” “A Good Run of Bad Luck,” “Summer’s Comin’,” “Like the Rain” and “Nothin’ But the Taillights,” part of a catalog that produced 22 #1 singles and made him one of the most successful singer/songwriters of the modern era.
Along the way, Black has sold over 20 million records, earned more than a dozen gold and platinum awards in the U.S. and Canada, landed nearly two dozen major awards and nominations, including more than a dozen GRAMMY nominations, and earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
As an actress, Lisa Hartman Black rose to prominence on Knots Landing and is the only prime-time TV character to be killed off one season and brought back by popular demand as a different character. Her first duet with husband Clint Black, “When I Said I Do,” reached Number 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts and was ultimately nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2005 the duet was ranked #11 on CMT’s 100 Greatest Duets in Country Music. Their second duet, “Easy for Me to Say” reached Number 27 on the country music charts.
