Inaugural “Cameron DuBois’ Par-Tee DOWN Classic Golf Tournament” is scheduled for July 1, 2021 at Lagoon Park Golf Course in Montgomery, Alabama
Plus, regional touring throughout Alabama continues to grow, including an opening gig for Andy Griggs on April 23 in Sylacauga
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Country rock singer-songwriter Cameron DuBois is excited to announce the formation of her very own charity golf tournament benefiting the Montgomery Area Down Syndrome Outreach Group, taking place on July 1 at Lagoon Park Golf Course in Montgomery. Aptly named “Cameron DuBois’ Par-Tee Down Classic Golf Tournament,” the inaugural event will feature golf, a shrimp boil, live music by Cameron DuBois and friends, a silent auction and fun for everyone.
“I have a family member who is dear to me with Down syndrome, so this is a very personal cause to support for me,” said Cameron. “Since the day he was born I have become active, reconnected with old friends, and developed many great relationships within the community.”
There are several options which the community can support including a limited number of sponsorships, individual or foursome group green fees, or fans can purchase stand-alone shrimp boil and concert tickets without playing golf. 100% of the proceeds raised from the event will be donated directly to the Montgomery Area Down Syndrome Outreach Group (MontgomeryAreaDownSyndrome.com) to support families and children throughout central Alabama who are living with down syndrome.
“This will be my first time hosting a charity event and I am so excited to dive into a whole new realm of fundraising,” Cameron said. “I’ve never hosted a golf tournament before, but I have a wonderful team helping me out. My hope is that with enough community support we can turn this into an annual event.”
