Chris Young came to Baltimore, MD at the Royal Farms Arena for his Raised on Country Tour. Along with him was the Eli Young Band and Matt Stell.
Matt Stell, who is from Arkansas, opened up with a 30-minute set including his smash hit, “Prayed for You,” and other songs off his new album. He has a lot of charisma on stage, and one of the new artists to look for in 2020 .
The Eli Young Band has been around for 20 years and brought a great stage performance to the Royal Farms Arena. They performed some of their greatest hits like “Love Ain’t” and “Crazy Girl.” One of the cool things that happened was the Eli Young Band stayed and met with fans in the lobby of the arena. You don’t see that much anymore, so I give them big props for that.
Chris Young, the Tennessee native, hit the stage to an eagerly awaiting crowd. As soon as he started playing the crowd was on their feet, singing along and dancing. Young performed his hit songs, “Hangin On,” “Save Water, Drink Beer,“ “Who I am With You,” “Drinkin’ Me Lonely” and “Voices.” Before he played his hit “Raised on Country” they showed a video clip on the big screen of many country artists telling who helped raise them on country and who inspired them. Young said he was a big Keith Whitley fan and then played one of Whitley’s biggest hits “When You Say Nothing at All.” Young also performed his new song, “Drowning” and explained this song was written because of the loss of a close friend. Young ended the show with his hit “Aw Naw”.
