Grand Rapids-based progressive thrash metal project KAPTAIN KOLLNOT has shared a new single entitled “The Nature Of Evil”. The song features once again the mighty STU BLOCK (Into Eternity, Iced Earth) behind the microphone and it’s a must for those who love Iced Earth, Annihilator, Metallica, Pantera, and Van Halen!

The track is an epic, dynamic one that nearly reaches the 8:30 mark. It delves into the cowardly nature of evil, and how it is often different from Hollywood super villains.

KAPTAIN KOLLNOT is the solo project of West Michigan musician Jeff Kollnot. He started the project in 2019. In that time he has released a full-length and an EP.  The “Future Human” EP was the first to feature former Iced Earth and current Into Eternity vocalist, Stu Block. Jeff’s latest single also features Stu on vocal duties. “The Nature Of Evil” is the second single from the upcoming album, “The Aquarius Shift”. The record is currently slated for a spring 2025 release window. 2025 will also be an exciting year because KAPTAIN KOLLNOT will be moving from the studio to the stage, with a full live lineup!
