The Numero Group, the Chicago-based label committed to unearthing precious lost sounds for new audiences, turn their sights to the decadent world of early ‘80s Los Angeles metal, rife with AquaNet, Flying V guitars and of course, the center of the movement, The Sunset Strip.

Kicking off the Bound For Hell digital single series is L.A. Rock’s long out-of-print, sole single, “Cocaine” (https://ffm.to/larocks-cocaine). Regular headliners on the Sunset Strip at Gazzarri’s, the same venue that helped spring Van Halen to superstardom, L.A. Rocks released the vinyl single on their own Rock Records in 1979. “It’s cocaine, it’s insane, it’s alright, it’s tonight!” frontman Timothy Lance shouts, extolling the virtues of the Sunset Strip’s treasured variety of stimulating white powder.

A commemorative Bound For Hell t-shirt has also been made available (https://numerogroup.com/products/la-metal-shirt).
