REVIEW – SALEM’S CHILDE returns with ‘Unbound’, an electrifying album that cements their evolution as one of modern rock’s most dynamic acts. Scheduled for release on Thursday, August 16th via Pavement Entertainment, the nine tracks showcase the band’s growth, with a balance of melody and aggression that pushes musical boundaries.

‘Unbound’ opens with the explosive “Closer to the Bone,” a high-energy track powered by shredding guitars and pounding drums. This sets the tone for the intensity that follows, including “Bleeding the Savior,” a rhythmic powerhouse that demands headbanging, and the title track “Unbound,” which features thunderous drums, crunchy riffs, and soaring vocals, cementing it as one of the defining moments on the record.

The album continues to impress with “Rise & Conquer,” an anthemic track with a groove that will have fans fist-pumping and ready to mosh. “The Reaping,” featuring Joe Rodriguez from PISSING RAZORS, offers scorching guitar leads and compelling vocal lines, giving depth to the album’s relentless energy. “Requiem” shifts gears slightly, slowing things down with a wall of sound that envelops the listener, exuding classic power metal vibes with a deep emotional undertone.

As the record heads towards its conclusion, “No Peace (Know War)” takes the listener on a journey through imaginative soundscapes, while “Through Fire” unites fans with a powerful anthem that demands a live audience. The album finishes with a beefed-up, energetic rendition of THE CULT’s classic “She Sells Sanctuary,” closing the album on a high note and paying tribute to rock legends.

‘Unbound’ showcases SALEM’S CHILDE‘s musical growth, blending heavy riffs with melodic hooks and outstanding vocal performances. This record is a must-listen for fans of both modern and classic metal, offering something fresh while paying homage to the roots of the genre.
