REVIEW – KRYPTOS‘ latest album, ‘Decimator,’ is a powerful showcase of classic metal, earning a solid 9/10. Formed in 1998 in Bangalore, India, KRYPTOS is a spearhead of the Indian heavy metal revolution. With seven critically acclaimed albums, they’ve supported metal giants like IRON MAIDEN and TESTAMENT. The band—comprising Nolan Lewis on vocals and guitar, Rohit Chaturvedi on guitar, Ganesh K on bass, and Vijit Sing on drums—delivers a collection of tracks that are both fierce and captivating.
The album opens with “Sirens of Steel,” where eerie tones envelop your senses, setting a hauntingly atmospheric tone. “Fall to the Spectre’s Gaze” follows with fist-pumping, head-banging metal magic. “Turn Up the Heat” is a catchy tune that sticks in your head for days, while “Electrify” will have the crowd on its feet, playing air guitar and letting loose. “Solaris” offers a moment to close your eyes and dream.
