Chicagoâs HARMâS WAY is pleased to unleash their Other World EP. The two-track offering features the title track alongside a reimagined version of âWandererâ from the bandâs critically lauded Common Suffering full-length.
Comments the band, âThe track âOther Worldâ was originally recorded during the Common Suffering sessions at Studio 4, but was ultimately held off the album. We revisited and remixed the track ourselves to now be delivered to you. In addition, we reimagined the track âWandererâ for this single/EP, with help of our friend King Yosef taking on some collaborative production duties. Now titled âV.Y.B.S.S.,â both songs deliver a proper juxtaposition of who we are creatively as a band, both present and future.â

HARMâS WAY only
HARMâS WAYâs most recent album, Common Suffering, was released in September 2023 on Metal Blade Records. As their first studio release in nearly five years, it is easily the most musically diverse undertaking in their catalog, and their most impressive. Common Suffering shifts the paradigm for heavy music and is a modern classic in wait.
While 2018âs Posthuman mined the unflinching d-beat brutality of Deathreat, blistering thrash, groove, and the icy nihilism of industrial bands like Godflesh and Demanufacture-era Fear Factory, Common Suffering integrates elements of paranoia-driven ambience a la Lustmord, glacially paced doom in the vein of early Melvins and Khanate, and even Meshuggah-like polyrhythms in its fully-automatic onslaught. HARMâS WAY pulls it off with style and fury. Common Suffering is nothing less than a fully armored and mechanized instrument of war ready to detonate listeners with their incredibly memorable riffs, breakdowns, and impeccable songwriting with subtle melody and point/counterpoint.
HARMâS WAY:
James Pligge â lead vocals
Bo Lueders â guitars
Christopher Mills â drums
Nick Gauthier â guitars
