New Music Review: FERVENCE ‘Ghost’

REVIEW – Alternative/metal band Fervence debuts a new album called Ghost. Coming from the Western United States, the group consists of: Austin Bentley on vocals, Trent Odneal on guitars, Josh Mathis on drums, and Jon Daniels playing bass.

The album begins with “Beneath the Sleeping Earth” starting with a slow drawn out opening before plunging into a  plethora of guitars and mayhem. The song successfully sets the tone for the album.

The next track “Corrosion” begins with a haunting depth of guitars coming together to form a melodic piece that keeps the listener engaged from beginning to end. “The Silent Wall” has a calming instrumental effect. The lyrics explain how we are confirmed in this place waiting for that release. “Surrogate” continues from the short song of  “The Silent Wall” bringing a feeling of escape. “Surrogate” finds the place to stay beyond the hidden step with the engaging guitars and drums showcasing the band’s strengths in coming together.

The title track “Ghost” shows the deepening dark tones that make The Fervence stand out. The reckoning of this song is about love.

The albums is a must listen to for anyone looking for something new and innovative. Fervence’s sound is melodic and defying. Originally formed in 2017, members of previous projects like Walk Away Alpha, Machines of Man, and Cyborg Octopus joined together with Fervence as a voice of the bigger issued in both personal life and with others alike out there.
