Bush and Live brought the ALTIMATE Summer Tour to a sold-out crowd at MECU Pavilion in Baltimore, MD. The co-headliner tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of their iconic albums, Throwing Copper and Sixteen Stone.
Bush, with front man Gavin Rossdale, brought an energetic rock show to the MECU Pavilion by the Inner Harbor. Rossdale danced and bounced around the stage performing such songs as “Machinehead,” “This is War” and “Bullet Holes.” The highlight of the evening was when Rossdale wanted to get a little closer to the crowd during his performance of “Little Things.” He ran through crowd, singing up by soundboard and running through a few rows, making his fans happy to be at this great show. Bush played a good 60 plus minute set and ended with their hit “Comedown.”
Live, the Band, is from a small town not far from Baltimore, York PA. They brought their soulful rock sounds that night, playing such hits as “The Dolphin’s Cry,” “Heaven” and “Lightning Crashes.” They also did a great cover of R.E.M.’s hit, “Losing My Religion.” The highlight of the evening for me was hearing Live’s version of “Paint It Black,” a classic hit from The Rolling Stones. Live played an almost 90-minute set and gave their all to their fans.
