Brett Young brought Morgan Evans and Ashley Cooke along on his 54321 Tour to Silver Spring, Maryland for a sold-out show at The Fillmore.
Ashley Cooke, an up-and-coming artist out of Nashville, played a good 30-minute set to get the crowd ready. In the middle of her set, she did a medley that included some Hannah Montana. The singer explained that she and her bandmates were watching Hannah Montana that day in the green room. Cooke ended with the song “Never Til Now”, which is a duet with Brett Young. To everyone’s surprise, Brett Young joined her on stage for the song.
Second up for the night was the new Australian country sensation, Morgan Evans. He played a very upbeat 40-minute set including his songs “Kiss Somebody” and “Day Drunk.” Morgan has a very high paced and upbeat stage presence.
Then it was time for Brett Young to hit the stage for his sold-out show. While he was singing the screen behind him had pictures of famous people from the past and present, such as Frank Sinatra. Brett played a good 20 song set including a lot of his upcoming songs and some of his hits. He also did a cover of Tim McGraw’s “Don’t Take the Girl.” Some of his hits he sang were “Mercy” and his newest song “Dancing with You.” As he sang a video from his wedding played on the screen behind him. He apologized while performing the song, commenting that he couldn’t take his eyes off Mrs. Young. Brett did a 2-song encore, both hits of his, “Sleep Without You” and “In Case You Didn’t Know.”
I would highly recommend seeing all three of these acts in concert. For more information, please check out each performer on their social media.
