Rodney Atkins came to Rams Head for WPOC 2020 Hot Winter Night’s Country series. Along with him was local Singer/Songwriter Brody Kean.
Brody Kean, the local native from Pasadena, MD, opened the show with a 30-minute acoustic set to get the crowd ready for the night of hot country music. Kean has a voice of his own and is a must to watch out for. He will have eyes watching him in Nashville with his songs, ‘Make me Wanna” and “Go On.” Kean has a vibe and style the likes of Cole Swindell and Riley Green.
After a short intermission Rodney Atkins hit the stage. Atkins, the Tennessee native, did a killer 90-minute set with his hits from the past such as “Farmer’s Daughter,” “These Are My People,” “Cleaning this Gun,” and his smash hit, “Watching You.” Atkins also did his newest hit, “Caught Up in the Country,” and a cover of Charlie Daniels’ hit “Long Haired Country Boy.” The coolest part of the night was during Atkins encore set which was a 3-song set. While performing “If You’re Going Through Hell,” he tossed the mic to people in front to sing to his hit song and they would toss it back to him while on stage. Definitely a first for me and gave some fans a great story to tell.
