NEW ALBUM RUN OUT VIA ARISING EMPIRE ON JUNE 10
Berlin post-hardcore trio Future Palace headed into 2022 strong. The bandreleased two singles, “Paradise” and “Heads Up,” as heard on SiriusXM Octane Test Drive and already streamed over half-a-million times. Today, they are sharing the video for the new song “A World in Tears.” Watch it here.
The song appears on the band’s upcoming sophomore album Run, out June 10 on Arising Empire. Pre-order it here.
On this song, Future Palace confront the problems of the present — primarily climate change, which has been neglected for far too long and is a long-term concern.
Vocalist Maria shares, “The lyrics represent the perspective of a person living in an almost completely ruined world in the near future. It is important for us to draw attention to the fact that one must act carefully here and now, and not tomorrow, before it’s too late.”
While writing the track, the band was influenced by electronic music and the retrowave genre. Carried by the ’80s vibe, the song “reflects the interplay between hope and despair,” says guitarist Manuel.
Run was produced by Julian Breucker and Annisokay guitarist Christoph Wieczorek, who also mixed and mastered the record.
Run explores the aftermath of a toxic relationship in a stunning and vulnerable way. The struggle with one’s own salvation is only the beginning — even after escaping from a tough situation. The band sets these painful processes to music in dramatic post-hardcore fashion, which atmospherically reproduces the ups and downs of emotions. Kindred sonic spirits are Holding Absence, Spiritbox, While She Sleeps, Bring Me The Horizon, and Pvris.
Future Palace released their debut Escape via Arising Empire and have since accumulated several million streams across streaming platforms.
