APPALACHIA EP OUT NOW
(New York, N.Y.): Frederick, Maryland-based post-hardcore upstarts More to Monroe are following the September 18 release of their debut Roadrunner Records EP Appalachia by touring with Come and Rest. The bands will embark on The Blacklist Tour in November.
Dubbed “clearly hard rock prodigies” by Revolver, More to Monroe dole out “frenetically paced, punishingly heavy math rock” on their debut EP.
They make smartly frantic and discordant post-hardcore noise… the kind that heavy music fans love. More to Monroe’s music is what you’d get if you fused Glassjaw’s emotional nerve center and moshy, white-knuckle intensity with the fierceness of Thursday, Fugazi, Thrice, or Quicksand… but for the iPhone generation.
More to Monroe are hitting the road and making fans the old-fashioned way: one grassroots tour at a time!
Their tourmates in Come and Rest are a four-piece metalcore/post-hardcore band hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, forming in 2011. Their name comes from a bible verse, but was quickly morphed into a statement known as a safe haven for their fans to express themselves. The band aims to be the voice of their listeners and to encourage one another to follow the voice inside their heads.
