New Music Review: VAJRA “The Mirror”

Vajra has a new single out called “The Mirror,” from their upcoming forthcoming album, Irkalla, the first EP of The Trilogy Series. Starting off with a mystical sound, the track heads straight into rock territory showing their fierce, passionate dedication to music. Vajra engages a different sound of metal that offers an Eastern Indian flavor. Vajra has a fresh and endearing sound leaving the listener wanting to hear more.

The child of a former monk and school teacher, Annamaria, lead singer, was encouraged to learn about the world around her and to question her ideas. She deems there is spirituality in creativity. Annamaria has a neurological condition called synesthesia, where she attributes color and shapes to sound. The band was chosen to play at the Loudwire Music Festival 2015 and Rock-fest 2016, Texas Showdown Festival, CMJ and SXSW.¬† Vajra toured and played with National acts including Buckcherry, Sick Puppies, Shamans Harvest, Wayland, Ghostship Octavius, Screaming For Silence, Eve To Adam, etc and played the Loudwire Music Festival with Rob Zombie, Weezer, Linkin Park, Halestorm, In This Moment, …etc and Rock-fest in Cadott, Wisconsin this past July with¬† Marilyn Manson, Alice in Chains, etc.
